We have the honour to welcome two distinguished colleagues as speakers for the keynote lectures at DH2012:

Prof. Masahiro Shimoda, University of Tokyo

Masahiro Shimoda is a professor at the Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, University of Tokyo. A distinguished scholar in Buddhist studies, he is director of a project that uses the digitized Chinese Buddhist canon to build a multilingual knowledge base. Masahiro Shimoda is president of the newly established Japanese Association for Digital Humanities.

Prof. Claudine Moulin, University of Trier

Claudine Moulin is a professor for Older German Philology at the University of Trier. She is the director of the Trier Center for Digital Humanities and, among others, leads a project for the creation of a digital linguistic atlas for Luxemburg. Moulin serves on numerous strategic committees and plays a leading role in DH strategy development in the European Science Foundation.
