Conference Banquet, Thursday, July 19, 20:00 – 23:30:
The Senate reception is followed by the Conference Banquet: The dinner will take place on the Rickmer Rickmers at Hamburg harbour. As is custom at DH conferences, the announcement of ADHO bursaries and prize winners will take place at the banquet. Join us for delicious food, fine drinks, a good time with friends and a proper DH Rock’n Roll session! The music will be played by Skuzzlebuzz, an original Hamburg Surfband playing Surf, Twist and music from the 60ies and 70ies. You don’t want to miss that!
The Rickmer Rickmers is a historical museum ship which arrived at Hamburg harbour about 30 years ago and was carefully refurbished since then. The bark, a ‘windjammer’ is a unique venue for the conference dinner and offers a very typical, yet unique Hamburg experience. There is a shuttle that will take you from the Senate reception to the ship and a shuttle to bring you back to the conference venue - the buses leave every 30 minutes from 22:00 until midnight.
